One more thing, if you live here and can’t speak Dutch, first thing you ask ALWAYS is: “do you speak English” = “spreakt u engels?” . You live in the Netherlands, if you want everybody to speak to you in English immediately, try England or the US. The fact most Dutch people answer you in English, doesn’t mean English is their official language, Dutch are just doing you a favor. So be polite.
